Aligning Business Strategy and Team Performance at Vubiquity
The Challenge:
Vubiquity, a global media and entertainment company in the UK, faced a significant shift in its management structure and team dynamics. With the move from a matrix model to a more cohesive "Primary Team" approach, the leadership team needed to align on business goals, forge stronger connections, and establish a new, unified story for their international business.

The leadership team approached us to help them transform their team dynamic and turn strategy into action. They needed to hold two retreats: one focused on building trust, alignment, and behavioural standards, and the second on translating their strategic vision into actionable plans.
Our Approach:
We partnered closely with the HR Director and Managing Director to understand their needs and craft a tailored solution. Using our Culture Impact Framework, we designed a two-stage programme to align behaviours, strengthen team bonds, and embed the patterns of behaviour essential for success.
Stage One: Time to Reflect
The first retreat was all about creating space for reflection, trust-building, and honest conversations. We used tools like Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team to uncover critical areas for improvement and provided each leader with a personalised report, complete with strategies for team effectiveness. A simulation exercise highlighted existing behaviour patterns, while self-assessments and personal action plans focused on fostering constructive behaviours to drive accountability and empowerment.
Stage Two: Strategy into Action
In the second retreat, we guided the team to translate strategy into clear, actionable goals. Using powerful techniques to surface critical truths and promote open dialogue, we addressed challenges like decision-making, prioritisation, and communication. Together, the team developed a shared approach for delivering their strategy while ensuring every employee received consistent and motivating messages.
